Source

If you are in the San Francisco area on July 12th and 13th, VentureBeat (the leading source for news & perspective on tech innovation) is hosting an event called MobileBeat 2016. This two day event will have over 100 qualified speakers discussing all things AI. Some general themes will include:
  • The messaging revolution
  • How brands are using bot strategies to grow
  • Other innovative mobile engagement strategies
It is evident that Artificial Intelligence is growing . Tech giants such as Apple, Facebook, Google, IBM and more are heavily investing in AI. With this conference, the focus is towards how the mobile world will be impacted by AI.

"A new paradigm is rocking the mobile world. It's the unstoppable shift to AI and intelligent messaging (i.e. chatbots), away from apps as we know them. It's changing the way we use our devices, and it's allowing brands to intercept customers with more immediacy and ease than ever."

noHold CEO Travels to San Francisco for the Intelligent Assistants Conference Presented by Opus Research

On September 16th, 2014, Opus Research hosted the first Intelligent Assistant Conference in San Francisco, CA. The CEO of noHold, Diego Ventura, had the opportunity to attend this conference and meet some of the big players in the industry. Here are a few photos of the event:

"The time to differentiate is now," explains Dan Miller, lead analyst and founder of Opus Research. "Coke, Domino's and Hyatt are part of a leading-edge group of firms that employ human-like assistants for sales, customer care, technical support and answering questions. Within a few years, they will be virtually ubiquitous." (Opus Research's Intelligent Assistant Awards (IAAs) Recognize Hyatt, Domino's and the US Army for Human-Like Automated Assistance).

noHold Knighted

Just a few weeks ago, Diego Ventura, the founder and CEO of noHold, Inc. was awarded by the President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, the special honor of the Order of the Star of Italy. This honor is given to Italians, both abroad and foreign, who promote friendly relations between Italy and other countries and create ties with Italy as well.

Diego was recognized for this award because of his technological contributions to the Italian Consulate in San Francisco. The SF Consulate is one of the first Consulates to utilize a Virtual Agent on their website. noHold was able to create a bilingual (English and Italian) Virtual Agent for people to find out quick answers to questions regarding citizenship, visas, travel to Italy, and more. You can check out the Virtual Agent by clicking here and interact with Federica yourself.

"The average completion rate of an interaction with the Virtual Agent is 73%." With the amount of success the Italian Consulate is getting from the Virtual Agent, it is apparent that Virtual Agents can simply be used anywhere. If a Virtual Agent can streamline international affairs in multiple languages, the use of the Virtual Agent will only continue to spread to such places like doctor's offices, the DMV, etc.

I'll leave you with a link to the full Press Release of the SF Italian Consulate Virtual Agent and a special quote from Diego as well.

“The realization of this project could have not been possible without the vision of the past Consul General of Italy, Fabrizio Marcelli, who pioneered the technology and  the collaboration of the current Consul General, Mauro Battocchi, who embraced it.  Special thanks also to the implementation internationals teams including Andrea Sahli, Alessio Cei and Stefano Mancini."

Have a great week!
