Using Conversational AI to get the most out of your Enterprise Database

The conference is almost here! Diego Ventura, CEO of noHold, will be presenting on March 11 at 1:15 PM PST. He's talk is titled, "Using Conversational AI to get the most out of your Enterprise Database." Here is a short summary on the topic:

Most enterprises rely on powerful databases to manage customer relationships, inventory, HR information, etc. But gathering information from them is not always easy and often requires the use of predefined reports or the help of IT specialists.  What if you could simply say: "show me customers in California who have spent at least $500K in the last 12 months and that are non-profit".  It is now possible to create simple straightforward conversational interfaces on top of the databases that govern our lives.  The application of this technology is not limited only to the enterprise, but it can be used also by individuals while shopping, or booking the next vacation: "what laptops do you have with an i7 processor, that cost less than $1250 and with a 2.8Ghz clock?"

Diego will also participate in a keynote panel: Building a Digital Assistant or Chatbot on March 12th. For more details please visit, http://www.conversationalinteraction.com/program
Looking forward to seeing some of you there!

Trends You Need to Know About from Cisco Live! 2016

A couple weeks ago, Cisco Live! 2016 came to a close. This event surrounds itself by all things in the digital business world. Technology innovators, IT thought leaders, Cisco's top partners, thousands of educational sessions, and much more made up this 5 day event.

Throughout the week, there were lots of powerful announcements made including strategic partnerships, various cyber security tech, and innovative ideas regarding their collaboration platform, Spark. One of the top trends associated with Cisco's Spark is the integration of chatbots. "Organizations now also are looking for the capability in their enterprise communications environments, where employees can engage with bots to conduct such tasks as checking on the status of projects, listing meeting agenda items and booking conference rooms." (eWeek). Cisco is looking to stay ahead of companies doing similar 'bot-related' initiatives such as Facebook's Messenger, Microsoft's Skype and Slack.

noHold is in the same thought pattern as Cisco, providing chatbots (Virtual Assistants) that actually work, giving end users what they are looking for. Chatbots need to be back by cutting edge AI technology and experts' experience in creating and maintaining effective automated agents.

We can't wait to see what next year has in store at Cisco Live! 2017. It will be back in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 25-29, 2017. For more information about the event, please click here.

Diego Ventura Shares His Knowledge on Virtual Assistants and IoT at PSI Conference

On April 4, noHold's CEO, Diego Ventura, was invited to speak at the Peggy Smedley Institute (PSI), 2016 Conference. Situated in San Francisco, California, Diego spoke alongside other professionals from various industries to:

  • Review the state of the IoT
  • Examine the leaders and innovators
  • Explore products and successes
  • Review threats and security issues
  • Look at the lessons learned

Diego's presentation centered around two questions; how will Virtual Assistants (VAs) connect to IoT, and how can humans benefit from this transforming paradigm? Here are a couple short clips of Diego sharing his thoughts and ideas regarding the topic.

In this introductory clip, Diego touches on the fact that Artificial Intelligence has surpassed the 'basic' capability of beating chess. In today's society, machine learning and Artificial Intelligence are making a huge impact on the IoT world with the growing level of sophisticated algorithms.

Users submerged in the IoT typically deal with multiple applications to control each individual device. In the clip below, Diego speaks about noHold's Butler-style VA, created to manage all connected devices from a single interface, improving the way individuals relate to the IoT.

It was a pleasure for Diego to be apart of another engagement put forth by Connected World and The Peggy Smedley Show

Let us know your thoughts on the IoT in the comments below. Cisco estimates that within the next 4 years, 50 billion devices will be connected to the Internet (Cisco). Do you think a Butler VA can help streamline the way humans are able to interact with all those devices?
